Mina Khan, MD
Medical Director RCCA
The RCCA is a 501c3 non-profit organization and free clinic operating at the Hoover Crescent Islamic Center located at 524 Hackberry Ln in Hoover, Alabama. The clinic opened its doors in January 2012 as a collaborative effort between the Alabama chapter of the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America, and the Birmingham Islamic Society, and operates on Sunday afternoons from 2-6pm. The clinic provides primary care and psychiatric services to a diverse population in the Hoover and Greater Birmingham area. Our goal is to provide excellent medical care to all regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or ability to pay. Over the years we have expanded our services to include on-site phlebotomy and have collaborated with specialty physicians to provide sleep studies and cardiology consultations at no cost to the patients.
RCCA and APPNA host an annual health fair in the fall of every year which is open to the public at no charge. Services provided include free vital signs, and cholesterol and blood glucose testing, flu vaccines, and sometimes free vision and dental screenings too.
